About
Natural Arts Taxidermy
I love living in Idaho because of
the diversity of the natural resources available here, and the abundance
of wildlife.
From sagebrushed
deserts to forested mountains, my favorite pastime is hiking and discovering
what is just around the bend, or just over that mountain top. In
my spare time I "hunt" with my camera as well as my gun!
I learned the art
of taxidermy as an apprentice for Lyons & O'Haver Taxidermy, and with
Jerry Moydell of Moydell's Taxidermy, located in Southern, California.
I specialized in
birds in those early years, and later moved on to include large and small
animals of various species. I have won ribbons and awards in competitions
in Idaho, California, and Colorado...just to name a few. My personal best
award is the Rayline award for excellence in large mammal taxidermy which
was won with a life-size black bear.
I have several mounts
on display in my studio, feel free to make an appointment to stop by and
see the quality of workmanship that will go into your trophies. I
can help you decide which pose, stance & attitude would be appropriate
for your trophy mount. While you are here we can discuss planning your
gameroom.
